As of today I have planted 1427 trees. That was a year and a half. In the grand scheme of things, compared to 130 million trees, this is nothing. However, trees absorb 21 kg of CO2 per year. So, how much have I absorbed, based on 1 1/2 years?
First, how much does each tree absorb?
21 kg is for 1 year, and that /2 is 10.5
21 + 10.5 = 31.5 KG of CO2 per tree. Multiply that by 1427 and you get....
44950.5 KG, or 44.9505 TONNES of CO2.
That. Is. A. Lot.
Update since that post: 1437. I'm going up! Ten trees!
